Dr. (Smt.) Raginee Rai is a distinguished academician, accomplished scholar of Hindi Literature, and an inspiring educational leader with more than two decades of experience in higher education. As the Principal of Akhilabhagya Post Graduate College, Ranapar, Gorakhpur, she has been instrumental in fostering an academic environment that blends excellence, discipline, innovation, and value-based education. Her unwavering commitment to student development and institutional growth has earned her widespread respect as a dedicated teacher, visionary administrator, and accomplished researcher.
Dr. Rai completed her Master of Arts in Hindi from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, in 1999 and was awarded her Ph.D. in Hindi by the same university in 2002. She began her academic career as a Lecturer in Hindi at Shri Gandhi P.G. College, Maltari, Azamgarh, in 2001. In July 2006, she joined Akhilabhagya Mahavidyalaya, Ranapar, Gorakhpur as a Lecturer in Hindi and has played a pivotal role in the institution's academic journey ever since. In recognition of her outstanding leadership and dedication, she assumed the office of Principal in October 2021.
An accomplished researcher and author, Dr. Rai has made significant contributions to Hindi language and literature. She is the author of the acclaimed books Kedarnath Agarwal: Jeevan evam Sahitya and Bhojpuri Lokgeeton mein Pratibimbit Bharatiya Jeevan. Her scholarly work extends to numerous research papers on Hindi poetry, folk literature, literary criticism, contemporary language studies, and Indian cultural traditions. Through her research, she has consistently highlighted the richness of India's literary heritage and the enduring relevance of folk culture in modern society.
Guided by the philosophy of "Shiksha, Sanskar aur Sashaktikaran" (Education, Values and Empowerment), Dr. Rai believes that education is a transformative force that shapes character, inspires critical thinking, and prepares young minds for responsible citizenship. Under her leadership, the College continues to strengthen its academic standards through dedicated faculty, modern teaching practices, smart classrooms, a resource-rich library, and a vibrant culture of co-curricular and research activities.
